Have you ever had sushi for breakfast and also for dinner in the same day? If you haven’t, what have you been doing? If you come all the way to Tokyo, you should stay near the Tsukiji market—this will give you a chance to try a “sushi diet” day.
The fish market itself closes around noon or early afternoon, but the restaurants in the outer market stay open. Also, there are so many sushi restaurants in the vicinity. Sushi Takewaka is on Shin Ohashi-dori. If you take the Hibiya line (Tokyo subway grey line) to Tsukiji Station, Sushi Takewaka is on the opposite side of the street from Tsukiji Honganji Temple. It’s also a chain, but a smaller chain than Sushi Zanmai. There are only 4 locations.
This is a big restaurant with private rooms and tables. The food is definitely better than sushi Zanmai, especially my favorite, Menegi sushi – young scallion on top of sushi rice.

Sushi is about my favourite food of all – these photos are such a feast! Loving it and yes, I can have sushi for breakfast, lunch and dinner too! 😀 Sharon
Hi Sharon…Sorry for the very late respond. I was away far too long. Yes, I already missed Japan and my sushi diet but I was alright having croissant for breakfast everyday for a while in France too…lol.
The pictures are too beautiful!
Stay Blessed,
-Naima.
Thanks…I don’t have to do much because the sushi themselves are so beautiful or at least in my mind anyway 🙂
